Spring Weekend is a time when we bring members and guests from across the state together for a 3-day weekend of hikes and programs. It is also the time of the Annual Meeting of the FLTC Membership and Annual Awards Presentation.

Spring weekend is when we hold the annual meeting of the FLTC Membership to elect new Board of Managers members and report on activities and plans. All are invited to participate. Meeting agenda and Nominations will be posted soon.

Annual Awards Meeting

We also gather to convey awards to persons and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the organization and the trail.

You might have skipped the Spring Weekend in years past. Don’t make that mistake this year!

The dates are June 8 through the 10th and the location is Lions Camp Badger in Spencer, NY, 15 niles south of Ithaca. If you’re a veteran of past weekends, you already know that the re-connection with hiking friends, and the camaraderie that comes from shared time on the trail, is the main attraction for this affair.

As a result of comments we have received from many members planning on attending the 2018 Spring Weekend at Camp Badger, we will offer an à la carte option for meals in addition to the fixed six meal option offered to commuters. The on-line registration form has been revised to show the following options:
Friday Dinner $18
Saturday Breakfast $14
Saturday Bag Lunch $12
Saturday Dinner $25
Sunday Breakfast $14
Sunday Bag Lunch $12
Please register using the on-line form  to select this option. Registation deadline is Wednesday, May 30.
If you have already registered for the commuter option and would have selected fewer than the six meals, you may request a refund by sending an email to

indicating which meals you do not want. Please make this request before the registration deadline of May 30, 2018. A refund will be issued when you register at the event.
We appreciate the feedback received and hope that no one will miss this event because of the cost. With 20 hikes, 2 bike rides, 2 evening speakers, annual FLTC membership meeting, awards, gourmet food, beer and wine tastings, yoga, and the fellowship of hikers gathering at a wonderful facility, this weekend is one you will want to be a part of.
